Direct to garment printing, also known as DTG printing, is a process of printing on textiles and garments using specialized or modified inkjet technology. DTG is an alternative to screen printing but has it's restrictions and is suited for low volume jobs with multiple colors.
Pricing is based on garment color and quantity. DTG printing is a great way to print print lower quantities of designs with multiple colors and gradients. Photos are the most popular design feature to print, since the number of print colors is irrelevant. White and light shirts are less expensive to print. Black shirts cost on average 25-50% more to print since it is difficult to use white ink that will stand out against the dark color. Images must be 300dpi for clarity.
